Privacy Policy
This site runs Microsoft Advertising conversion tracking only after you opt in. We store the brand and category you type in, your email address if you buy a report, any standard campaign tags in the landing-page URL, and your IP address for about 24 hours as an abuse counter. Nothing is sold, and everything is deleted on request.
Who is responsible
AI Visibility Snapshot (getaisnapshot.com) is a product of ClixWorks, which is the data controller for this website and for the reports it produces. Purchases are sold and invoiced by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record; Polar is the controller for the payment itself.

What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Brand name, category, optional competitor names | Free scan and paid report | They are the input to the measurement — they become the prompts sent to the engines. |
| "Prepared for" name | Paid report, optional | Printed on the report header. It is never sent to any AI engine or any third party. |
| Email address | Checkout only | Passed to Polar so they can send you a receipt and reach you about the order. |
| Campaign tags | When checkout begins, if the landing-page URL includes standard utm_* tags | Stored with the report draft and, if paid, the report so we can tell which campaign led to an order. We do not store click IDs, set cookies or send the tags to an ad platform. |
| Advertising consent and UET cookies | Only after you accept advertising cookies on the English landing page | Microsoft Advertising’s UET tag records page views and, after a paid report is confirmed, a purchase event. It may set advertising cookies and receive the event, but it does not receive your report inputs or email address. |
| IP address | Free scan and checkout | Used as the key of a per-day counter that caps the free scan at three per address. It is not logged alongside your inputs. |
| Crawler user-agent strings | Any page fetch by a known bot | Counted in aggregate on /crawlers. Human visits are not counted at all. |
We do not ask for, and have no way to receive, your card details. There is no account, no password and no signup anywhere on this site.
Cookies and tracking
By default, this site sets no advertising cookies and loads no advertising tag. On the English landing page, you can accept or reject Microsoft Advertising cookies. If you reject them, the UET tag is never loaded. If you accept, it is loaded to measure ad visits and paid-report purchases; you can remove the ad_consent cookie in your browser to be asked again. Standard utm_* campaign tags are still stored only when checkout begins. We do not use analytics, session recording, embedded fonts, or third-party JavaScript outside this optional Microsoft Advertising tag. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
Who else touches the data
- Cloudflare — hosting and storage. Every page and every stored report lives on Cloudflare Workers and Workers KV.
- OpenRouter, and the model providers it routes to (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, xAI) — receive the prompts. A prompt contains only your brand name, your category and any competitor names you supplied. It never contains your email address, your "prepared for" name, your IP address or your report link.
- A third-party AI-mentions dataset — queried with your category to find which sources the engines cite in it. Queries are category-level; no personal data is sent.
- Polar Software, Inc. and its payment processors — handle the transaction, your email address, the receipt, VAT and the refund. Their privacy policy governs that part.
- Microsoft Advertising — receives optional UET page-view and paid-report purchase events after you accept advertising cookies on the English landing page.
How long things are kept
- IP rate-limit counters — about 24 hours, then deleted automatically.
- Unpaid draft reports (including any campaign tags) — 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Paid reports (inputs, results and the order email address) — kept so that your report link keeps working. There is no automatic expiry today. Email us and it is deleted, usually the same day.
- Payment-webhook records — 7 days, then deleted automatically.
- Crawler counters — 90 days. These contain no visitor data, only a bot name and a date.
What gets published
Customer reports at /r/{id} are marked noindex, are excluded in robots.txt, and are reachable only by the unguessable link you receive. We do not publish, list or index them, and we do not use your brand or your results as an example without asking you first. The one exception is /r/sample, which is our own demonstration report.
The public category leaderboards and the engine-agreement study are built from our own scheduled measurements, never from customer orders.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, object to processing, or ask for it in a portable form. Email hello@getaisnapshot.com — there is no form and no verification hoop; if you can quote the report link or the order email address, that is enough. We answer within 30 days and in practice within a couple of days.
Our legal bases are: performance of a contract for the report you bought, legitimate interest for the abuse counters that keep the free scan free, and consent for anything you type into the free scan. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
International transfers
Cloudflare, OpenRouter, the model providers and Polar are US-based or operate globally, so the limited data described above is processed outside the EEA under those vendors' standard contractual clauses. If that matters to you, note what is actually leaving: a brand name and a category, both of which are already public information about your company.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we change the date at the top of this page. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not keep one.
Frequently asked questions
Do you use cookies?
We set a first-party cookie to remember your advertising choice. If you accept advertising cookies on the English landing page, Microsoft Advertising UET can set advertising cookies and measure page views and confirmed paid-report purchases. If you reject, UET never loads. We do not use separate web analytics, session recording or Clarity.
Is my brand name sent to OpenAI, Anthropic and the other model providers?
Yes — that is the measurement. Each prompt contains your brand name, your category and any competitor names you supplied, and nothing else. Your email address, your "prepared for" name and your IP address are never sent to any AI engine.
Can anyone else find my report?
No. Reports live at an unguessable link, are marked noindex, and are excluded in robots.txt. They are not listed anywhere and we do not use your results as an example without asking you first.
How do I get my data deleted?
Email hello@getaisnapshot.com with the report link or the email address you ordered with. We delete the report and its inputs, usually the same day. Payment records held by Polar as merchant of record are subject to their own retention obligations.
