What AI actually recommends, by category

Each leaderboard below is a real measurement, not an opinion: the same seven buyer-intent prompts sent to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, with every brand named in the answers counted. The engines disagree with each other far more than most people expect, and each page shows exactly where.

Categories measured

What all of them show together

Pooling every category gives a result worth reading before you look at any single one: the five engines named the same leading brand in every category measured, but agreed on only about a third of the rest of each leaderboard. See the full agreement study — 768 answers, free to reuse with attribution.

How these are produced

Seven category prompts times five engines is 35 live answers per category. Brands are extracted from the raw answer text, then ranked by how many answers named them and how early in each answer they appeared. The full prompt set and scoring rules are published on the methodology page, and the same procedure applied to a single brand produces a full report like this one.

Your category is probably not on this list. A $19 snapshot runs it for your brand specifically, adding brand-level prompts, share of voice, sentiment and the domains AI cites in your category.
